Equipped with high-performance ED lenses, the flagship ATERA II ED H16x50 delivers exceptionally sharp, high-contrast images with minimal chromatic aberration.
Advanced image stabilization keeps the view remarkably steady, even at 16× magnification without a tripod. Enjoy an immersive viewing experience that brings distant subjects seemingly within arm's reach.

The objective lens features high-performance ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass, which effectively minimizes chromatic aberration. Even at 16× magnification, it delivers exceptionally sharp images with minimal color fringing.

Handheld binoculars offer the convenience of quick and easy observation, but at high magnifications, even slight hand movements can cause image shake.
The ATERA II ED H16x50WP incorporates a 2-axis gimbal image stabilization system that corrects vibrations within an angular range of ±2°. The result is an exceptionally stable image, even at 16× magnification, making handheld observation practical in situations where a tripod was once considered essential.
Bird Watching
High 16× magnification reveals fine details, from the glint in a bird's eye to the intricate patterns of its feathers. The powerful image stabilization keeps the view remarkably steady, making it easy to follow birds that suddenly take flight and observe soaring raptors with confidence.
Star Watching
By compensating for hand shake, the image stabilization system makes it easier to observe fainter stars and finer celestial details. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Moon with a steady image—no need for a tripod.
Live Concerts
Get closer to the action by seeing not only the performers' facial expressions but also the fine details of their costumes and accessories. Powerful image stabilization keeps the view steady and makes it easy to follow performers across the stage, even during fast-paced performances.

The ATERA II ED H16×50WP features two selectable vibration-canceling modes, allowing you to choose the one that best matches your viewing conditions.
V1 Mode: Optimized for correcting small, rapid vibrations.
V2 Mode: Optimized for correcting slow, larger movements.

Every lens surface is treated with Vixen's proprietary Flat Multi-Coatings—a broadband anti-reflective coating consisting of more than seven layers that delivers exceptionally high and uniform light transmission across the visible spectrum. Compared with conventional three-layer multi-coatings, it significantly reduces light loss, producing brighter images with outstanding contrast.
The roof prisms are phase-corrected to minimize phase shift and maximize image resolution. In addition, every reflective surface of the auxiliary prisms is treated with Super High Reflectivity (SHR) dielectric coatings to maximize light transmission and image brightness.
Together, these advanced optical coatings minimize stray light and light loss, delivering exceptionally bright, sharp, and high-contrast images worthy of Vixen's flagship binocular.

Dirt, fingerprints, and smudges on the lenses—especially the eyepieces—can reduce image contrast and resolution, preventing the binoculars from delivering their full optical performance. To help maintain optimum performance, the ATERA II ED H16×50WP features an oil-repellent coating on the objective lenses and eyepieces. This special coating resists fingerprints and other contaminants, helping to keep the lenses cleaner for longer. Even if fingerprints or dirt get on the lenses, they can be wiped off easily, helping to keep the lens surfaces clean at all times.

The included grip strap provides a secure, comfortable one-handed grip while reducing hand fatigue. By distributing the weight across the back of your hand, the grip strap minimizes the effort required to hold the binoculars, making extended viewing more comfortable.
Ideal for concerts and other events, the adjustable strap can be customized for the perfect fit. Five interchangeable grip straps in different colors are included to suit your personal style, while a standard neck strap is also provided for added versatility.

The binoculars feature a slim center section at their center of gravity, allowing for a secure and comfortable grip. Despite its large 50 mm objective lenses, the ergonomic design minimizes hand fatigue, even during extended observation.
Additional user-friendly features include a smooth focusing ring that can be operated smoothly with a single finger, an ambidextrous design for both left- and right-handed users, and a thoughtfully positioned battery compartment that does not interfere with your grip or finger movements.

The binoculars provide up to 16 hours of continuous operation on just two readily available AAA alkaline batteries. An Auto Power-Off function automatically switches the binocular off after approximately 90 minutes of inactivity to help conserve battery power.*
The battery compartment cover is integrated into the body, eliminating the risk of accidentally losing it during battery replacement—even in low-light conditions.
*Based on the use of new alkaline batteries at an ambient temperature of 20°C (68°F).

The nitrogen-filled waterproof construction ensures reliable performance in wet and challenging outdoor environments. The optical system is rated IPX7, while the battery compartment meets IPX4 protection standards.

A drawstring pouch with a convenient carrying handle is included. It is designed to accommodate the binoculars together with their straps for easy storage and transport. Three transparent pockets in different sizes provide convenient storage for spare batteries and other small accessories. A slim pocket is also ideal for penlights and other slender items. The transparent pockets are convenient for seeing the contents at a glance and can also be used to display your favorite photos or cards, letting you personalize the pouch to suit your own style.
Strong electromagnetic waves emitted by devices such as mobile phones during calls or two-way radios may interfere with the image stabilization system and prevent it from operating properly. Avoid using the binoculars near such devices, or maintain a sufficient distance from them during operation.
When viewing a bright point light source, faint radial streaks may appear extending from the center of the light source. This is a characteristic of the image stabilization system and does not indicate a malfunction.
