Long Eye-relief for Comfortable Super-wide Field of View
Conventional Super-wide-angle binoculars have disadvantages as *1) Short eye relief *2) difficult to look through, especially for glass-wearers. The SW 10×25 has a 17.3mm long eye relief while maintaining a super-wide-angle view at 75 degrees by shortening the optical distance between the eyepiece and the prism. The distinctive wide field of view enables you to see not only your target but also its surroundings at a glance, making it ideal for concerts, operas, musicals, and other events.
*1) The apparent field of view is the width of the field of view when looking through binoculars, expressed as an angle (number). A field of view at 65 degrees or more is defined as a wide angle, and 75°or more is defined as a super-wide-angle (in the old JIS standard: B7121:1993). *2) The distance from the eyepiece surface to the eye is called the "eye relief". A long eye relief of 15mm or more makes it easier to see the field of view of the binoculars even when you move your eye away from the lens. -
Perfect Full Multi-Coated (PFM) for Bright, Clear Field of View
The SW series binoculars are fully multi-coated (PFM), with three or more layers of special anti-reflection coatings applied to all optical surfaces, including the objective lenses, eyepiece lenses, and prisms.
This reduces contrast and light loss, delivering an exceptionally bright and crystal-clear field of view by effectively suppressing reflections on the lens surfaces. -
Thorough Measures against Stray Light
The SW series has aperture stops to block stray light, even in areas where they are not typically considered necessary. Additionally, the interior is matte-finished to thoroughly eliminate internal reflections, delivering a clear field of view with ghosting minimized to a high degree, even with an Super-wide-angle.
* Ghosting: Light that is reflected in a complex manner and appears in the field of view. -
Large Aperture Eyepieces and Twist-up Eyecups for Viewing Comfort
With its large 24 mm aperture eyepiece lens, the SW10×25 is easy and comfortable to look through. The rubber eyecup features a twist-up mechanism to adjust its height with a simple turn of your fingers. Extend the eyecup when viewing with the naked eye or contact lenses, and keep it retracted when wearing glasses to achieve the proper field of view.

Excellent Operability and Grip Performance
The binoculars are designed so that when you hold them in your hand, the entire inside of your fingers, from your pinky to your index finger, will fit snugly against the body. There is also a recess where your thumb will rest, making it easier to hold. Large parts are used for the operating parts, such as the focusing wheel and diopter adjustment ring, making them easy to operate not only with bare hands but also when wearing gloves.
