Uses High-performance ED Glass Lenses

Special optical glass, which delivers excellent optical performance, is used for the objective lens (the large front lens). Color fringing is reduced to an absolute minimum, resulting in clear, sharply defined images.

Three types of Special Coatings for Clear, High-resolution Images

To reduce unwanted reflection of light and scattering inside the binoculars at a high level, the APEX J has anti-reflective coatings (fully multicoated) on every surface of the objective and eyepiece lenses, and two types of coatings (phase coatings and high-reflective coatings) on the prisms to suppress light scattering.

With these three types of optical coatings, the APEX J delivers surprisingly clear and high-resolution images.

The Design and Construction that Put Importance on Brightness and Viewing Comfort

The objective lens diameter and magnification are critical factors that greatly affect the optical performance of binoculars. The larger the lens diameter, the brighter and clearer the image. The low magnification produces a relatively bright image, allowing you to view objects more comfortably.

The APEX J HR8x42WP is a hallmark in this class of binoculars, having a typical 42mm aperture and 8X magnification. The eyepieces have large 22mm diameter lenses, making the binoculars' view bright and comfortable to look through. The eyepiece comes equipped with a rubber twist-up eyecup to adjust its height. The distance between your eyes and the eyepieces can be adjusted for viewing comfort when looking through it with your naked eyes or with glasses worn.

Lightweight

Binoculars with 42mm effective aperture and a waterproof design have excellent optical performance, but they are inevitably heavy.

The APEX J HR8×42WP is designed with a strong focus on high performance and lightweight design, and by reviewing the materials and shapes of each part, we have achieved a weight of approximately 600g. While focusing on optical performance, we also carefully considered portability and operability.

Waterproof Design

The binoculars are filled with nitrogen gas and sealed with rubber for a waterproof design. They can be used safely in outdoor situations such as outdoor live performances.

Tripod Mountable

By using an optional adapter (Bino-holder H or Bino-holder MH), which allows you to attach the binoculars to a camera tripod, you can use the binoculars with a commercially available camera tripod.
Mounting the binoculars on a tripod will stabilize the field of view, allowing you to observe the finest details.
