  • ED Lens for Superior Chromatic Aberration Contr

    In optical instruments that gather light through lenses, differences in the refractive index of each wavelength (color) cause chromatic aberration, which appears as unwanted color fringing. Since chromatic aberration cannot be corrected with a single lens element, it is minimized by combining two or more lens elements made from different types of optical glass. The effectiveness of the correction also depends on the optical properties of the glass used.
    The GEOMA III ED80 ZOOM features a two-element objective lens that incorporates an ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass element. Paired with a carefully matched companion lens, it efficiently suppresses chromatic aberration, delivering exceptionally sharp, high-contrast images with virtually no color fringing.

  • Bright, High-Contrast View with PFM5 Coatings

    PFM5 coatings (Perfect Fully 5 Multilayered Coatings) feature five layers of anti-reflection coating on every optical surface. Compared with PFM coatings (Perfect Fully Multi coatings), which use three coating layers on each optical surface, PFM5 coatings further reduce light loss and deliver a brighter, higher-contrast view.

  • 20–60x Zoom Eyepiece with Parfocal Design

    The 20–60x zoom eyepiece provides smooth, continuous magnification throughout the entire zoom range. Its parfocal design maintains focus as you change magnification, requiring little to no refocusing. Once the image is in focus, you can zoom in or out with little or no need to readjust the focus, allowing you to concentrate on your object. Even if a slight focus adjustment is needed after zooming, it can be made quickly and easily, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted viewing experience.

  • Zoom Eyepiece Designed for Comfortable Viewing

    The eyepiece, with an eye relief of 20–18 mm, provides a full field of view without having to press your eye against the eyepiece. It also features a large 24 mm-diameter eyepiece and a twist-up eyecup that can be easily adjusted by rotating it with your fingers. These features help reduce eye fatigue, even during extended observation sessions.

    Whether viewing with the naked eye or while wearing eyeglasses, you can enjoy a wide, comfortable field of view.

  • Dual-Speed Focus Knob

    Equipped with a dual-speed focus knob that provides both coarse and fine focusing (9:1 reduction ratio). After quickly achieving focus with the coarse adjustment, the fine-focus control allows precise focus adjustment. This makes it easy to achieve sharp focus when observing fine details, such as bird feathers, or when taking photographs.

  • 45° Angled Viewing

    The eyepiece is set at a 45° angle to the scope body, allowing for a comfortable viewing position. It reduces strain during extended seated observation and makes it easier to observe objects high above the horizon.

  • Easy Smartphone Photography

    A smartphone camera adapter is included as standard. Compatible with most smartphones, it lets you easily capture photos through the spotting scope.

    Note: Not compatible with DSLR or mirrorless cameras.

  • Rotating Optical Tube

    The optical tube can be rotated around its optical axis, allowing the eyepiece to be positioned for the most comfortable viewing angle. It also makes it easy to adjust the camera orientation when photographing through the scope.

  • Tripod Mount

    The tripod mount features a standard 1/4"-20 tripod socket with a video locating hole, allowing the scope to be mounted securely on most standard camera tripods (sold separately) .

  • Waterproof Design for Outdoor Use

    Nitrogen-filled and waterproof to IPX6-equivalent standards, the scope is designed for reliable outdoor use. It can be used with confidence in wet conditions, including rain and heavy dew.

  • Includes a Stay-On Case

    A stay-on case is included as standard, allowing the spotting scope to remain protected while mounted on a tripod. It also comes with a detachable, adjustable shoulder strap for convenient carrying. The shoulder strap can be removed when observing in windy conditions to prevent it from catching the wind.

  • Includes an Easy-to-Use Tripod

    This model comes standard with a tripod equipped with a fluid head for smooth, precise operation during observation and photography. The fluid head enables effortless panning and tilting, allowing you to track fast-moving birds and wildlife with ease.
