Vixen Telescope SX2-R200SS Description

  • R200SS optical tube assembly.

    The R200SS is one of Vixen's most popular Newtonian reflectors. The quality primary mirror of the R200SS has a fast f/4 focal ratio combined with a lightweight optical tube. The great performers is ideal for astrophotography of Nebulae, star clusters and comets.

  • SX2 equatorial mount.

    The SX2 mount incorporates precision plus motors and accurate micro-step motion control which makes the roration of the pluse motors extremely stable.

  • Retractable counterweight bar for easy set up.

    The counterweight bar is moved back into the mount body for strage by simply loosening the bar lock lever and it is convenient for transporting the mount and set up. The counterweight bar is made of durable stainless steel.

  • STAR BOOK ONE dual-axis controller.

    The SX2 comes as standard with the STAR BOOK ONE. The four direction buttons on the STAR BOOK ONE move the mount in X and Y axes (RA and Dec directions) either quickly or slowly. Versatile tracking options are available in addition to the sidereal and solar tracking rates. Backlash compensation, autoguider port and built-in red LED light are some of the useful functions of the STAR BOOK ONE.

  • STAR BOOK TEN star chart go-to navigation controller is available as optional.

    The SX2 mount works with an optional STAR BOOK TEN controller, featuring an intuitive star chart Go-to system with high definition color LCD display. Incorporating over 270,000 objects, the STAR BOOK TEN identifies and tracks your trarget easily.
