An expansion unit designed for the STAR BOOK TEN controller.

The installation of the advance unit in the STAR BOOK TEN enhances your autoguiding capabilities. With this unit installed you can view an image from a ccd based imaging camera, recorded to or play back from an SD/SDHC card and adjust the shutter exposure of a DSLR camera.

Displaying the image
Images input by analog video signal are displayed on the screen of STAR BOOK TEN. The video images can be recorded to SD/SDHC memory cards.
Autoguiding
The advance unit allows you to perfect autoguiding in combination with a ccd video camera attached to the guiding scope. This is a smple and comfortable autoguiding system that does not require an external autoguider and a PC.
SD card
The advance unit has an SD card slot for commercially available SD/SDHC memory cards. It allows for viewing still images (not possible to record) and video images stored in a SD/SDHC memory card. (The images must be saved in JPEG or BMP format.)
Romote shutter release
This function will allow you to control shutter release duration, interval times, exposure times and mirror lockup of your DSLR camera with use of a proper connecting cable.
USB
This is to apply to commercially available USB devices which are rated under 500mA electricity consumption. Currently there is no optional USB device that is available for the advance unit.
