A versatile slide bar compatible with both Vixen's thin attachment standard and the Vixen-style standard dovetail systems.

This slide bar allows you to mount a small telescope to a Vixen-style dovetail attachment provided for either an equatorial or altazimuth mount. Also, you can attach it directly to a standard camera tripod.

Vixen Telescope Dual Slide Bar Description

  • Effortless Swapping of an Optical Tube between Vixen Mounts

    Thanks to its dual-rail compatibility, you can easily attach your optical tube to the mount head of an equatorial mount, an alt-azimuth mount, or a camera tripod, without changing a dovetail rail to another type.*1

    The back of the slide bar features 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch threaded holes, allowing it to be mounted on screw-type camera heads.

    *1 The apparent field of view is the width of the field of view when looking through binoculars, expressed as an angle (number). 65° or more is defined as wide angle, and 75° or more is defined as ultra-wide angle (in the old JIS standard: B7121:1993).
    Note: If you use it with third-party equipment, please make sure of a stable connection before use.
    Before use, please ensure it is securely fastened when attaching it to equipment made by other manufacturers.

  • Suitable for Telephoto Astrophotography using the POLARIE U

    Together with a Quick Release Panorama Clamp and a Counterweight Bar for the AP Photo Guider (both sold separately), the dual slide bar will provide stable support for long-exposure astrophotography when you install a heavy telephoto lens on it.

  • Convenient for Balancing a Spotting Scope

    The dual slide bar can also be used to balance a spotting scope when a camera is attached for “digiscoping” photography.

    Note: Adjusts balancing to forward or backward only.
