Adapter ring for attaching commercially available camera filters to Vixen optical tubes
This adapter ring is designed to attach commercially available camera lens filters to Vixen telescope optical tubes (OTAs). Previously, filters could only be mounted on telescopes when used in combination with corrector lenses such as a flattener or reducer lens. By combining this adapter with a Vixen camera adapter*, the filters can now be attached to various Vixen optical tubes that were incompatible with the filter.
As a result, you can enjoy astrophotography of deep-sky objects such as nebulae and star clusters with a light pollution filter, even in suburban areas, without having to travel to remote, dark-sky locations.
Note on Required Adapters:
This product must be used in combination with one of the following Vixen camera adapter rings:
・Camera Adapter 60 for M48
・Wide Photo Adapter 60DX (sold separately)
・Wide Photo Adapter 60 (sold separately)
・60 mm Ring with T-thread Adapter (included with the R200SS or sold separately)
・EA60 mm to 50.8 mm Adapter (sold separately)

Compatible with 48mm and 52mm Camera Lens Filters
The “M56 Filter Conversion Adapter 48/52” features a reversible design with 48 mm threads on one side and 52 mm threads on the other, allowing compatibility with the two most common camera lens filter sizes.

Commercially Available Filters can be attached to the Camera Mounting Side
When using a commercially available filter in combination with a corrector lens, such as the reducer or flattener lens, attaching the “M56 Filter Conversion Adapter 48/52” to either the Wide Photo Adapter 60DX or the Wide Photo Adapter 60 allows the filter to be mounted closer to the camera mount than the conventional filter position at the front of the corrector lens.
