The VC200L OTA excels in prime-focus astrophotography, delivering exceptionally sharp, pinpoint star images with minimal distortion across the field of view. The SXD2WL equatorial mount features automatic Go-To slewing to celestial objects with intuitive smartphone control.
VISAC stands for Vixen Sixth-order Aspherical Catadioptric, an original Vixen catadioptric optical tube that, as the name suggests, uses a 6th-order aspherical primary mirror. It features a three-element field corrector lens within the baffle tube, which effectively corrects coma, spherical aberration, and field curvature across the entire field of view, achieving 15 μm star images even at the edge of the photographic field. With an optional "Reducer HD" (sold separately), it delivers exceptional performance for deep-sky imaging of celestial objects, such as diffuse nebulae, as well as for prime-focus photography of extragalactic targets.
This high-spec equatorial mount has been meticulously engineered from start to finish—from the careful selection of materials and well-thought-out placement of bearings to the precise cutting and machining of each part—all to maximize its performance as an equatorial mount.
The "Wireless Unit" is included as standard, allowing you to control your equatorial mount with your smartphone or tablet. By installing a free dedicated smartphone app "STAR BOOK Wireless" on your device, you can use it as a controller.
The "STAR BOOK Wireless" smartphone app inherits the highly acclaimed interface of the STAR BOOK TEN controller, renowned for its ease of use. Simply view the star chart displayed on your screen, tap the celestial object you want to observe, and the mount will automatically slew to it and begin tracking. Following the intuitive display design of the STAR BOOK TEN, the app is easy for anyone to use without difficulty.
