Alt-azimuth Mount
Alt-azimuth mounts are one type of mounting system for astronomical telescopes that supports a telescope optical tube. The alt-azimuth mount has two rotational axes; one allows you to move the telescope optical tube up and down, and the other is side-to-side motion. The motions are so simple that beginners can operate the mount intuitively.
